Drew Brees, a man football followers must have heard of. For those who haven’t he is a quarterback for the new Orleans saints of Nfl. Talking a little about his career before NFL, he had a mind-blowing career in college, namely prude University. With the first NFL draft of 2001, he was picked by the San Diego Chargers.

He was a decorated player with 13 conference records and 19 prude University records. Also, he was no ordinary player, he had a gift. He established two NCAA records too. He is known to be the greatest quarterback of his time. Moreover, he really grew with time and looks like never aged. He was a role model for many football aspirants.

It was in 2002 when brees begin his first official job with chargers and by 2004 he made to the pro bowl. It seemed like he was doing too good too soon in his life and it was true. But brees suffered some serious injuries like the dislocation in the right shoulder and tear in rotator cuff which set him back for around 9 months. Later to which he didn’t leave his dream sport and signed up as an agent for free with saints. Being a free agent showed his commitment towards the sports and the fact that he wasn’t after the fame and money but he literally worshipped this sport.

Brees acknowledge success in new Orleans which took the saints to the Super Bowl it was their first time under the guidance of brees they made in Super Bowl xliv and win against the Indianapolis Colts.

He led all the NFL quarterbacks efficiently. Be it touchdown or passing. The NFL records held by brees include the career completion percentage, career touchdown passes, career passer rating and many more. It was then in 2012 he broke a record set by Johny Unitas for consecutive touchdown passes. It was Drew brees the only player to pass for over 5000 yards in one season five times.

He was brilliant and the most amazing player of his time. If compare to other players not a single one has done so many passes, there are few with more than once but then comes Drew and sets the bar so high that almost seems impossible. He has a record of passing the yards around 7 times. It was in 2004 when he was presented the comeback player of the year then he was awarded the MVP (Most valuable player) of super bowl XLIV.

Then it 2010 brees was decorated as a sportsman of the year. He was continuously awarded for his hard work. He has seen his side of ups and downs and has returned a hero. No matter of criticism led him down.

Conclusion

Brees is often said a hero and it rightly suits him because his career was no bed of roses. He is where he is because of all the long nights and dedication he put in the game and for which he was rewarded. But none of the fame ever got to his head. Sure there were controversies but when you are famous controversy is part of the deal but standing with your values what makes you apart and drew is the model for that.
