NFC Conference playoffs and Super Bowl

nfl standings

NFL scores and statistics can be very interesting. Who knew that the best running back in the league happens to be a guy that was picked in the supplemental draft? Other than that, there are lots of other interesting nuggets that can be found in the NFL records. These pieces of information can be used for many things including determining which players will make the Pro Bowl and who will have the best season.

The NFL playoffs and seasons are determined by the Wild Card standings. The teams that finish the highest will have a chance to earn the right to represent the NFC in the Super Bowl. The playoffs take into consideration the conference and the strength of each team that played a part in the division or conference. As usual, the NFL playoffs are a wild card because no team has been declared as the official winner yet.

Division Leaders

Did you know that the only two teams to win over the Eagles this year are the division leaders? In fact, the Philadelphia Eagles have the best point differential but they are currently tied for the worst record in the NFL. So what exactly is going on with the NFL? Check out the nfc playoff pictures below.

Currently the most interesting NFL teams consist of the Green Bay Packers and the Carolina Panthers. These two teams play a close game every year in the playoffs. Both teams are also tied for the most regular season wins. This means that either the Packers or the Panthers can go into the playoffs as the NFC’s top dog. So which team will get the nod as the NFC’s champion this season?

Carolina Panthers

A bridge over a body of water

If the Carolina Panthers win out the regular season then the NFC will have a two-seed in the playoffs. The Dallas Cowboys and the San Francisco 49ers will both receive seed from the NFC. If the Packers and/or the Panthers lose out, then the NFC will have a one-seed. This means that the Carolina Panthers and the Dallas Cowboys will both go to the playoffs as the NFC’s No. 2 seeds.

The NFC’s top team will get the first seed in the playoffs as the Atlanta Falcons take on the Arizona Cards. The Atlanta Falcons currently hold the top spot in the NFC’s standings and have a five-game lead over the San Francisco 49ers and the Los Angeles Rams. Now the Cards have a game in hand over the visiting Atlanta Falcons. The Cards will host the Dallas Cowboys in Week 16 and host the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in Week 17 before heading to their own home stadium.

Competitive NFC Central Division Race

The St. Louis Rams will host the Houston Texans in what should be a very competitive NFC Central division race. The two teams that are tied for the division at the end of the year are the Chicago Bears and the Houston Texans, but the Chicago Bears have a one-point lead over the Houston Texans.

The arizona cardinals have a three-game lead over the Detroit Lions and the Minnesota Vikings, who are tied for second, and the Dallas Cowboys and the Houston Texans have a one-point lead over the Philadelphia Eagles and the Kansas City Chiefs.

Wrapping Up

The NFL has done a great job of creating an interesting scheduling model for the upcoming postseason. It will be exciting to watch which teams will receive the first seeds in the playoffs. The NFL has also worked very hard to ensure that the best teams will go to the Super Bowl this year. The Arizona Cardinals and the San Francisco 49ers will meet in the first round of the playoffs and will battle for first place in what should be a very good NFL season.
